Andris Nelsons

No one wields the conductor’s baton as beautifully as Andris Nelsons!

Anyone who has experienced him once will not forget him in a hurry. Andris Nelsons conducts like no other. He sways to the beat, taking with him musicians and even the audience in an electrifying way. If you don’t yet have a connection to classical music, a concert with conductor Andris Nelsons will tear your heart to pieces. Like a mighty flood of pleasure and emotion, and you gently glide down into a sea of happy tears.

Live Event of the Salzburg Festival 2022: Andris Nelson’s “Time with Bartók

As part of the Salzburg Festival (L4U already reported on the TV performance of Puccini’s “Il Trittico”), star conductor Nelsons is also back on stage with the Vienna Philharmonic. ORF has now announced that this year’s concert will be broadcast live on 7 August 2022 at 11 am. This year’s programme includes Béla Bartók’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 and Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, with Yefim Bronfman as soloist on the piano. Thus, lovers of classical music will once again be able to enjoy exceptional concerts via live broadcast.

Nelsons: Conductor of Love

Before the concert begins, ORF will broadcast the portrait “Andris Nelsons – star conductor without airs and graces” at 10.25 am. A really recommendable contribution, because Andris Nelsons is an artist of our time. A man who lets his heart speak through the music, whose facial expressions are so real and alive that you (as a woman) are tempted to take his face in your hands and kiss it gentle.

Born in Latvia, Nelsons made his debut in 2020 at the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Concert. It was a roaring and unforgettable New Year’s morning with happy tears. In fact, he gets by without airs and graces – as far as is known. And we need many more such artists who transport emotions with talent and expertise, who make us forget the present and swap it for a shining minute of happiness.
